genshin impact, yae miko x sucrose

Summers in Inazuma remain swelteringly hot well after the sun sets and darkness cloaks the land in shadow. While most tourists brave the weather in order to experience the nation's famed festivals and fireworks this time of year, Sucrose endures the miserable heat and humidity mainly for the chance to pay her respects to the alluring kitsune, Yae Miko of the Grand Narukami Shrine.

That, and Sucrose is due her annual mandatory vacation. Albedo can be such a stickler about proper rest and socialization. She already attended the Windblume Festival this year as Special Ambassador, did she not? So what if she spent that time gathering data and conducting a social experiment that culminated in uncovering a witch's prophecy? That was for recreational purposes, not bio-alchemy, so it doesn't count as working.

She would have happily given her leave to Timaeus so he could go mooning after Ying'er in Liyue Harbor, but Albedo wouldn't take no for an answer, so...

Sucrose, with her glasses safe on the nightstand and her head pillowed on Miko's bare chest, tangles her legs with those of her on-again off-again lover above the bedsheets. Even with no clothes at all, it's still too hot to move around much. What Sucrose would give for a Heatshield potion right now.

“I want to hear more stories from Mondstadt,” Miko purrs, inhuman eyes gleaming in the dark. Her feather-light touch on the sensitive rim of Sucrose's ear makes Sucrose startle, cheeks flushed dark from more than just the ambient temperature of the chamber. “The Hexenzirkel sounds fascinating. I've met the witch's little daughter, Klee, myself, although her mother is... quite a character. Do you know any information about what magic she can cast?”

“Magic is merely science we've yet to categorize,” Sucrose replies automatically. She flusters a moment later, ears pressing flat to her skull when she realizes how tart her tone was. “M, Miss Yae, I mean to say... N, no, I don't know much about the topic. Ma'am.”

Miko chuckles at her dithering, which only serves to embarrass her further. She's never been the best conversationalist, no matter how she practices. It's pathetic, really.

“Very well, regale me with whatever topic you please,” Miko says indulgently, petting Sucrose's hair. “If I recall correctly, your research is what loosens your lips the quickest, is it not? Entertain me.”

Sucrose swallows audibly. “Y... You're certain it won't bore you?” she asks, insecure but hopeful all the same. “I've been told people find it a little... dry.”

Once Sucrose gets started, it's genuinely difficult for her to stop. Even Timaeus can only listen to her ramble about various flower cultivars for so long, and he works in the same field as she does. Albedo listens with patient disinterest, and Collei can't make heads or tails of it at all.

Conclusion: someone as clever, beautiful, and out of her league as Yae Miko can surely do better.

“If it does, I can always find ways to entertain myself,” Miko says airily. Somehow, coming from her painted lips, it manages to sound like both flirtation and threat.

Sucrose brightens. “Well! As you know, I've already developed a potion that increases the nectar output of Sweet Flowers by an average of seventy percent, which when applied to both apple and sunsettia trees, increases the net sugar content of the fruit yield by some thirty percent, and the tree's sap by closer to fifty percent. Proportionally, I'd have to increase the volume of the dosage by several orders of magnitude to have more effect on the fruit, at which point it would be more cost efficient to focus on producing a higher quantity of produce, rather than focusing only on the quality. I – mmm!”

Sucrose squeaks as Miko's palm slides down the curve of her spine, teasing goosebumps out of her bare skin. Miko smiles wide, showing all of her teeth, as her fingers ease between Sucrose's thighs.

“I'm listening,” Miko promises, with a smooth, syrupy voice as cloying as the nectar extracted from her experiments. “Continue.”

Sucrose gulps, shaky voice pitching higher as she tries to concentrate.

“Th... The most obvious side effect of the experiment seems to be the altered fruit decaying at a much more rapid pace than usual, which makes transporting and selling it nearly impossible. I've y-yet to pursue this hypothesis, but I still believe there's an application in the field of liquor production – s, sweeter apples that f-f-ferment more quickly would be useful to a cider maker, would they not? And that's one of Mondstadt's main exports after dandelion wine! So my current strain of research may be commercially viable– Miss Yae, th-that's very distracting!”

Miko licks her lips, smearing a touch of rouge onto the tip of her pink tongue. “And?” she asks wickedly.

Sucrose whimpers, tucking her head beneath Miko's chin. “And... um...” she stammers.

“Are you asking me to stop?” Miko asks innocently.

“N... no, ma'am,” Sucrose answers meekly.

“Good girl,” Miko croons, stroking Sucrose's ears with the hand not currently nestled between her legs. “Then by all means. Keep talking.”
