Movie date, but the twist it's very earlier film. Whether that means characters go to see viewing of the first moving pictures by the various inventors who had jostled to start the medium, or say the birth of longer-form-narratives-into-movies a la Méliès is up to the filler!

For additional prompting for my team: It would also be interesting to see Transformers hiding in the Méliès-like/fin de siècle setting and thinking how cute or quaint it is for humans to get excited over what they see as such a simple technology.

Songfic based off of Tornado '87 by the Rural Alberta Advantage. That link's just the song, here is a link to the official music video that's actually more so an artistic short film.

(The song itself is about Edmonton's Black Friday, a tornado that killed twenty-seven people. Tbh this is pretty niche so I don't expect anyone to go based off of Black Friday exactly, it's just that "being inspired by history" is the source of this song and I would love to see what their interpretation inspires in other creators. The song's got a great sense of tragedy.)

Also kind of jumping off my last prompt-

Black Fridays in a way are a cultural phenomenon. Here's Wikipedia's disambiguation page on the title. Maybe the fic is inspired by one of these Black Fridays. Maybe in whatever canon you're writing for, there's an event that itself could be considered a Black Friday. The one rule for this prompt is I do want this to actually look at the worldly cultural phenomenon and it's relationship to tragedy, so no American shopping day please.
