FILL: Team OCs

“You’re not the person I fell in love with,” Isadora said coldly. The thing with Lenora’s face on it smiled at her.

“And yet, you’re still here?”

Isadora scoffed. “Of course I am. I have to find out who— or what you are. And I have to find out what you’ve done to Lenora.”

“And how exactly do you plan on—”

Isadora pulled out her dagger and chopped the fake Lenora’s head clean off. It rolled off and hit the ground with a soft thud, before her body collapsed onto her knees and fell over. Soon, the head turned to dust, and a new one started forming on the fake’s neck. Before long, ‘Lenora’ was back in one piece.

“That hurt,” she said, sitting up and rubbing her neck.

“You’re immortal,” Isadora concluded. “Just as I suspected.”

The fake Lenora looked up at her with the same crooked grin as before. “And what does that mean for our future? Are you going to torture me? Cut off my head as many times as it takes until I tell you where Lenora is?”

“That’s certainly an option.”

“Can you bring yourself to do that?” She stopped smiling, now looking up at Isadora with the biggest, saddest eyes. Isadora hated to admit it, but she did look a lot more like Lenora now. “Can you bring yourself to hurt your sweet, sweet partner?”

Isadora grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, putting the blade against her neck once more. Blood started bubbling up from where she’d nicked her. “You’re not my partner. You’re not my anything. You’re a disgusting little parasite.”

“Isadora?” she asked timidly, using Lenora’s voice. “You’re scaring me. Please, lower the knife.”

Her grip on the fake Lenora’s shirt tightened, but she couldn’t bring herself to hurt her. Whatever this thing was, it was getting in her head. “Where is Lenora?”

“I’m right here. Isa, please—”

Before she could finish, Isadora cut her head off again without remorse, watching it turn to dust on the ground. As it slowly reformed, she growled, “She never once called me ‘Isa’. Maybe do your research before you try to imitate her, you cheap copy.”

‘Lenora’ burst out laughing. “Well, you’re stuck with this cheap copy. So maybe try being a little kinder.”
