I just sense yuri potential since the story takes place in an all-girls academy + swordbearers fight in pairs.
The main character often makes cute little mascot cat charms that come in pairs and gives them to friends and such.
The wiki apparently says that this pair in the drawing are the only ones who have mascot cats based on each other compared to others' mascots being based on themselves
