Lola sat next to her girlfriend, Juno, on the couch. There was nothing going on today so she wanted to spend some time with Juno. Her girlfriend flicked at her rabbit ears, not too hard but enough to get her attention.
“Can’t you use your mouth?” Lola was a bit annoyed. She didn’t mind it too much, though. Juno was one of a only a few that she would have allowed to touch her ears unwarranted.
“Oh my, as you wish. I won’t bite you… too hard.” Juno smirked. Lola hit her on the shoulder lightly. Juno just chuckled and grabbed Lola’s hand, kissing the back of it. The action calmed Lola down.
“If you bit me, do you think I wouldn’t retaliate? I’ll bite you back,” Lola said. She nestled closer to Juno’s side.
“I’d like to see you try. I’ve never seen a mouse bite a cat before.”
Lola raised an eyebrow. “You’re not a cat and I’m not a mouse.” She pointed at Juno’s wolf ears and at her own rabbit ears.
“It’s just a saying. But wolves and rabbits fit into predator and prey, no?”
Lola rolled her eyes. Sure, that was true, but they were part human too. A predator eating a prey would still be cannibalism in their society. She leaned onto Juno’s shoulder and closed her eyes.
“Well, this little rabbit is going to take a nap so I hope the big bad wolf doesn’t try to eat me in the meantime.”
Juno grinned, her sharp canine teeth showing. “How could I dare? Here, my lap is comfier.”
